Canadian Torrie Groening uses new and traditional methods to create layered photographs. From her collections and archive, she constructs elaborate still life scenes. Works are held in over 40 museum and public collections in Canada and the USA. Her large-scale photo works have been exhibited at The Griffin Museum of Photography, Winchester; The Koslov Larson Gallery, Texas and International Print Center, New York.  A Small Dog Blessing is staged in the artist's satellite studio - a revamped, repurposed 1952 Royal Canadian Air Force bus. An unconventional workspace becomes both subject and setting, extending Groening's investigation of the studio as a site of creative transformation and theatrical possibility
