Born in Loma Linda, California, USA, (1965) Mikelle Standbridge received her B.F.A. with an emphasis in Photography from San Francisco State University.  Within the framework of the degree, Mikelle integrated 3 years in France to study French, Photography, and Art History at the University of Paris. Awarded a scholarship to the University of Chicago, she completed her M.F.A in Photography, 1996.  Upon graduating, she taught photography in Chicago at Columbia College, until moving to Milan in 2000. Many of her exhibits received sponsorship by the City of Milan, as well as being exhibited internationally and included in many private collections. 

Currently Mikelle is the founder and director of Casa Regis - Center for Culture and Contemporary Art, housed in a 17th C. villa in northern Italy that she is restoring with the help of volunteers.
